For the 2013 season, the Sky Insurance / Driftworks Skyline R32 has undergone some major changes. The R32 has always been the ‘second car’ in the Driftworks stable and was always over shadowed by the ground breaking Nissan S15. With the S15 now sold, and a new project being built, the R32 has been given some love, and doesn’t it look the part!
Beauty isn’t just skin deep and the’32 now runs a replacement Toyota 1JZ and Syvecs ECU as well as a few tricky new suspension tweaks to make sure it’ll qualify for competitions next season.
The engine was mapped and produced good and safe power figures of 560BHP and 555ft/lbs torque at 1.6 bar of boost. The roll cage is a work of art and also boasts Nascar door bars between the roll cage and the seats for added safely and rigidity.
